Recruitment Drive:: recommencement of EK recruitment
Hi there guys,

I'm new to this forum and I hope there will be someone who can reply to my question..

I was (and still am) an EK wannabee who got through all the interviews, signed the contract and went through medicals, my DOJ was on march 13, only to be very disappointed to be "withdrawn" and kept on hold because of the current economic recession..
Believe me, it was a really bad blow..I was just an arm's length from reaching my dream job..
In that devastating email, EK informed us (this happened to so many other wannabes who was waiting for confirmation after medicals like me)that they will re-contact us...

Therefore I would like to know if as soon as recruitment starts will I be re-contacted and will I have to go through the interviews again or simply re-do the medicals??

I'm hoping so much it's the latter bcos going through the whole thing again doesn't make any sense!

Also is there any rumors as to when recruitment will begin??

Thanks!!

I don't think the guys in CCR have any private jet offer. Usually, these fleet do not do mass recruitment. Maybe, the folks in CCR can drop a line or 2?

Professional Tips... YOU WILL REGRET IF YOU MISS THIS!:: SQ Interview
In the 2nd round of SQ interview, we were told to select a passage out of 2 that are available and to read it aloud in front of the interviewer. What's the purpose of this and why must there be 2 passages instead of just 1? Is it some kind of a game, where if you pick the right passage, you will make your way to the next round?

Professional Tips... YOU WILL REGRET IF YOU MISS THIS!::[REPLIED] Will I be less advantage/ overqualified?
No, that is not true. Airlines looking for are basically:
1. your command of language
2. your personality
3. your responsiveness to situation
4. your overall presentation
5. Commitment to serve

As such, having a degree will actually help you to be advantage in terms of command of language and logic thinking and responsiveness to different situation.

Having said that, some degree holder, (Maybe a generalized statement) may unconsciously project a superiority attitude which contradict to the willingness and commitment to serve as well as present personality.

Thus, be humble and kind during the interview.

Good luck
